I think the main themes of this film are the unknown and sea.

  I really like the way this title sequence has been constructed because I think simple is best . Having too much going on in the title sequence can distract the audience from what you want them to focus on.

Strengths: Origional Plot and Plot twist Detailed/intresting Storyline, very effective Very relatable Good use of lighting Fits the genre well Provokes questions Weaknesses: Will it be hard to find a setting ?- we are going to do lots of close ups in the opening sequence so the location doesnt matter so much. Might be too much to fit in an opening sequence- we arent doing the whole plot in the opening. Make sure you dont give too much away in the opening. How will you show the police- the police bit isnt in the opening sequence.

http://megforemanaspreliminary.blogspot.co.uk In this preliminary task we did a continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door , crossing a room and sitting down on a chair opposite another character. We had to  demonstrate match on action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule. I did the preliminary task so that I was prepared for the main task. It allowed me to learn some basic key techniques that I may well go on to use in my main task. It also gave me room to make mistakes.
